Peaches are great in many prepared ways, and yet, there is nothing like eating a cool truly-ripe peach (something rarely seen at modern big-box stores). Ask for tips on picking the peach that is best ripeness and variety for your desired uses.
These sweet little darlings ripen with Tomcot apricots and Lapin cherries. They are not large (we aim for tennis ball size), but they pack a wallop in flavor.
Approx. Picking Dates: July 4 – July 7
PF #1 (Flamin’ Fury)
This is the earliest of a score of similar peaches known as the Paul Friday series, hence PF1. Cling to semi-cling, you will enjoy them for eating out of hand — with a big napkin.
Approx. Picking Dates: July 11 – July 21
Early Red Haven
These are the first peaches off the tree in early summer. Best for jam, slicing with ice cream, dribbling off your chin. A true cling, don’t try to quarter them for canning.
Approx. Picking Dates: July 17 – July 28
These are firmer and finer textured than Early Red Haven. They are semi-cling.
Approx. Picking Dates: Aug. 7 – Aug. 23
This delicate, pink skinned peach is the only white fleshed, sub-acid peach we are currently raising. Delightful for eating out of hand, sweet and juicy.
Approx. Picking Dates: Aug. 22 – Aug. 26
Especially sweet, this is probably the best known and most popular mid-season peach for canning. Many of our customers request this one, and no other.
Approx. Picking Dates: Aug. 22 – Aug. 28
The Saturn Peach is a delicious specialty stone fruit especially bred to be flat. It’s a white-fleshed variety containing a fairly small stone, with a fragrant aroma and delicately sweet taste.

Almost freestone, these red beauties will keep you wondering if the next variety can keep getting better than the last. [We think so.]
Approx. Picking Dates: July 28 – Aug. 7
Big red-blushed firm peaches with a visual beauty to match their rich flavor. Like good celery, a Hale has a subtle bitter background flavor to excite mature taste buds.
Approx. Picking Dates: Sept. 1 – Sept. 4
An excellent blend of sugar and acid give this selection an exciting flavor and an ability to resist oxidation.
Approx. Picking Dates: Aug. 9 – Aug. 21
Another in the Crest series, this is one of the most delightful that we raise for eating out of hand. Fine fleshed, firm and semi-cling, with a rich golden red skin and a bright golden finish.
Approx. Picking Dates: Aug. 28 – Sept. 8
Improved Early Elberta
We can be sure to be picking these on Labor Day. Great for canning. Often called Golden Elberta, can them ripe and ragged for a winter taste of summer sun.
